Most of what we make started as someone describing a thing that did not exist yet. Bring a sketch, a reference photo, or a half-formed idea — an engineer and a designer will tell you honestly whether it is buildable, what it takes, and what it costs. Lead time here genuinely varies: a small piece can be weeks, a full environment longer.

How we answer “can you build this?”

Can it be built?
Almost always yes. The honest question is whether it can be built well at your size and budget — a shape that works at three feet can be structurally silly at ten. You get that answer straight, before a deposit.

What will it cost?
Materials scale with size; labour scales with complexity. A simple form in ply is cheap to make large. An intricate one is not, and we will say which yours is rather than discovering it halfway through.

How does it get there?
Transport and setup are part of the design, not an afterthought. Anything oversized gets engineered to break down before the first cut is made.

Should we build it at all?
Sometimes the answer is no — the piece would be better rented, or simplified, or done differently. We would rather say that than sell you a build you regret.

Good Questions
Before you send the idea
- All I have is a Pinterest board. Is that enough to start?
- Yes — that is the usual starting point, and it is more useful than people think. A board tells us proportion, palette, and the feeling you are after. From there an engineer and a designer will tell you what is buildable at your size, what it would cost, and where the idea needs adjusting. You are not expected to arrive with drawings.
- Can you do a whole environment rather than one piece?
- Yes, and it usually turns out better. When the facades, the seating, the signage, and the small details are drawn together, the room reads as one intentional scene instead of a collection of rentals. We have built full branded environments and complete themed setups this way, fabricated and finished under one roof.
- Is there anything you will not build?
- We do not take on anything that has to carry people at height, and we will turn down work where the idea only holds together if the piece is never touched or moved. Beyond that the limits are practical rather than categorical: budget, timeline, and whether the shape survives contact with real physics. Ask — the answer is usually yes with one adjustment.
